Service Description

Unlock your artistic potential by joining our comprehensive 10-week Wheel & Hand Building class designed specifically for continuing students at Tasman Clayworks. Throughout this engaging course, you'll have the opportunity to deepen your understanding of pottery techniques, focusing on the creation of larger and more complex pieces such as beautiful bowls, elegant plates, and refined cylinders. Each week, you'll enjoy 2 hours of hands-on tuition, allowing for personalized guidance as you practice and refine your skills. Our well-equipped studio provides access to a variety of tools and equipment to aid in your creative journey. Please be aware that the costs for firing your ceramics and glazes are not included in the class fee and will be billed separately as you progress. You can conveniently purchase glazes either online or at many local pottery supply stores. We use high-quality stoneware speckled clay, which is perfect for making stunning pieces with unique textures. Remember to bring along a towel and an apron to keep your workspace tidy and protect your clothing. To ensure you receive ample personalized attention and support, we intentionally keep our class sizes small. This allows us to offer individualized instruction tailored to your needs and skill level. For more information on class availability dates and to secure your spot, please don't hesitate to contact us. We look forward to helping you enhance your pottery skills in a collaborative and inspiring environment! Please note: This class gives you the flexibility to take 2 weeks off during the term and is perfect for school holidays or vacations.
