My name is Steph, and I opened Tasman Clayworks in August 2023.

My studio was created to provide a space for the community to share my passion for clay.

I offer classes that teach the basics of working with clay, including shaping it on the pottery wheel, using moulds, and hand-building techniques.​

I quickly discovered that the process of creating and manipulating clay is incredibly therapeutic.

It offers a wonderful way to take a break from life's challenges, even if only for an hour.

At Tasman Clayworks, I can help you learn how to make practical items for daily use or create fun, decorative pieces.

There are no restrictions on creativity here; we provide a welcoming environment for you to begin your artistic journey.​

 

I stock clay suitable for both wheel-throwing and hand-building, as well as the glazes we recommend for the kilns we use for firing.​
