What we offer:

​​We stock clay suitable for both wheel-throwing and hand-building.   We can guide for glazes, as we recommend that are suitable for the kilns.  Clay can be purchased from us in 5 kg or 10 kg bags at reasonable prices.

You will need to bring an apron, a towel, airtight plastic containers to store your creations, any glazes you wish to use, and any special tools you prefer.

​Wheels and Wine – 90 minutes of fun with friends or a group.  In this class, we make a set piece and each month, we make a different and unique item.  You just bring along something to drink, should you wish to.  Items are glazed at a later date and collected usually within 4 weeks.

2 Hour Taster – 2 hours of fun and usually a small group of up to 6, sometimes more.  In this class, we make a small plate and usually an ice cream bowl.  We sometimes decorate the plate and bowl with various technichs.  These are discussed on the day with students.  Items are glazed at a later date and collected usually within 4 weeks.

6-Week Beginners – We run a 2-hour class over 6 consecutive weeks.  In our beginner’s class, you will be introduced to clay, glazes, the pottery wheel, with some hand-building - over these consecutive weeks.  Pieces are generally small and this helps to learn in a comfortable and stress-free way.  You will need to purchase our clay and we can go into more detail during the weeks – to introduce glazing types and firing knowledge, health and safety and much more.

10 Week Advanced – An advanced class is for continuing students.  After you have completed the 6- week class, and are familiar with making items.  You would be encouraged to continue to hone your skills and knowledge.  Classes are kept relaxed and are fun, but it does take a little while to be able to use a pottery wheel and practice, practice, practice is required.   Everyone learns at a different pace, so we don’t rush you. 

We will encourage you all the way, and even I took quite a while and made plenty of mistakes.
