Tasman Clayworks

About Us

My name is Steph, and we opened Tasman Clayworks in August 2023.

Our studio was created to provide a space for the community to share my passion for clay.

We offer classes that teach the basics of working with clay, including shaping it on the pottery wheel, using moulds, and hand-building techniques.

We quickly discovered that the process of creating and manipulating clay is incredibly therapeutic.

It offers a wonderful way to take a break from life's challenges, even if only for an hour.

At Tasman Clayworks, we can help you learn how to make practical items for daily use or create fun, decorative pieces.

There are no restrictions on creativity here; we provide a welcoming environment for you to begin your artistic journey.

We stock clay suitable for both wheel-throwing and hand-building, as well as the glazes we recommend for the kilns we use for firing.
